City of Hayden Group Night at the Spokane Indians Game: Saturday, August 19 vs Vancouver. Tickets are $11.00 each for upper box seats. Both Nights are Yoke's $1 Family Feast Nights. Annual Hayden Kite Festival: April 29, 12:00-2:30 p.m. at Broadmoore Park in Hayden. Registration runs from 12:00-1:30 p.m. with kite flying from 12:00-2:00 pm. Awards will be announced at 2:15 p.m. and include Best Flyer, Crash & Burn and much more. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the day with your family! Arbor Day Celebration: April 27 (Thursday), 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at McIntire Family Park (was City Park) in Hayden. The City of Hayden is putting on a big Arbor Day event where students from Atlas Elementary, Christian Center School, Hayden Meadows Elementary, North Idaho Christian School, and students who are home schooled or enrolled in a virtual online school will be participating in a celebration of Arbor Day. Memorial Day Ceremonies: Monday, May 29, 10:00 a.m. at Honeysuckle Beach for Wreath Laying Ceremony, 11:00 a.m. in the Veterans Memorial Plaza located at Hayden City Hall, 8930 North Government Way, Hayden, Idaho for the Memorial Day Ceremony. Hayden Bike Rodeo: The Hayden Parks, Recreation & Community Forestry Commission in cooperation with the Hayden Library invite you to join us on Monday, June 19 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Hayden Library for the Hayden Bike Rodeo. Bring your bike, scooter or trike and learn the rules of the road. The rodeo offers: a bike safety check & tune-up with local techs, helmet check & fitting, an obstacle course to test your skills and rules of the road, a goodie bag for all participants, and a craft. Geared to ages 5-12 but everyone is welcome!
7th Annual Hayden Triathlon: Saturday, July 8 at Honeysuckle Beach. City of Hayden is proud to be support the 2017 Hayden Triathlon. This is a SPRINT triathlon: 0.5-Mile Swim, 12 Mile Bike, 3.1-Mile Run. USAT Sanctioned. The race venue features breathtaking scenery with a challenging but friendly course. Coeur d'Alene Arts Association Exhibits: Enjoy the talent of local artists or learn something new through an art demonstration. A variety of artists will display their work each week during the Hayden Concert Series on Thursday evenings depending upon artist availability. The art exhibits will begin at 5:00 p.m. each Thursday from June 29-August 17, except for July 27 due to Hayden Days.
Hayden Days: Friday, July 28 & Saturday, July 29 at McIntire Family Park. There will be lots of children’s games and activities, pony rides & a small petting zoo, food & craft vendors, beer & wine garden, the NLFD pancake breakfast, the Hayden Car Show, dancing and more. National Night Out: Tuesday, August 1 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at McIntire Family Park, hosted by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office and Target. Help your community become safer and decrease crime by attending the Annual Night Out: Enjoy entertainment, food and drinks, giveaways for the kids and crime prevention/personal safety information. Princess Pedalfest: Saturday, August 5, 7:30 a.m.-60 miles, 8:00 a.m.-45 miles, 9:00 a.m.-25 miles, Croffoot Park. A women’s-only, non-competitive bike ride, providing three different distances and challenges to promote the opportunity for a broad range of women cyclists. Patriot Day Ceremony: Monday, September 11 (tentative) at Hayden City Hall, 8:45 a.m. observed as the National Day of Service and Remembrance. Occurs on September 11 of each year in memory of the people killed in the 2001 September 11 attacks.
Hope 4.5K Fun Run: All ages welcome! Lace up your shoes and run or walk a 5K for a good cause! Monies will be donated to efforts in adopting international children. Annual Hayden Lights Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony: Saturday, December 2 at McIntire Family Park, 5:00 p.m. The parade begins at Hayden Avenue and proceeds south along Government Way to Honeysuckle Avenue. The tree lighting ceremony immediately follows the parade in McIntire Family Park, 8930 N. Government Way. Atlas Elementary and Hayden Meadows School Choruses sing, followed by a visit by Santa.
